We attended The Maverick Survival School ran by a friend of mine that I served along with in A Squadron Household Cavalry regiment and on multiple operational tours.

The Maverick Survival school is a registered charity (1208967) and operated by Craig Harrison, a former army sniper, and veteran. Since childhood Craig has had an interest in nature and the environment, his life story and his experience are described in his bestselling book “The Longest Kill” as well as a number of guest appearances on various podcasts. Shoot and Spice brought veterans and local residents together at Double Deuce Range for a day of shared experience, marksmanship, and conversation, ending with a warm, communal curry at Abdul’s Balti House. The event blended sport, food, and connection, creating a space where stories were exchanged, friendships formed, and the community strengthened.
